How much does a new concrete driveway cost?
Probably the most common question asked from prospective customers. The quick and short answer is between $12 – $20 per square foot. It mainly depends on the size of the driveway and additionally how much preparation work will be required. Most 2 car driveways average around 600 sq ft. How much does a replacement concrete driveway cost?
Replacement concrete driveways are different installing new concrete driveways. This is due to the fact that with a replacement concrete driveway, the previous concrete driveway must be demolished and disposed of. This cost when coupled with the installation of a new driveway is fairly inexpensive and averages an additional $1.00 – $2.00 per sq ft. So a replacement concrete driveway is roughly $14 – $22 sq ft. Are stamped concrete driveways as good as traditional concrete driveways?
Stamped concrete driveways are made of the same concrete used in our traditional concrete driveways. All Denver Concrete Inc driveways are poured using 4,000 psi air entrained concrete. This includes our stamped concrete driveways.
In addition to using 4,000 psi air entrained concrete, Denver Concrete Inc installs reinforcement bar (rebar) in each concrete driveway that we install. We use all of these same construction methods when building stamped concrete driveways. So, in short, stamped concrete driveways or decorative concrete driveways are just as durable and solid as traditional concrete driveways.
What does a heated concrete driveway cost?
Heated driveways vary in cost depending on whether or not a radiant heating system is used or an electric mat. Either way, there is definitely additional cost for the heating elements and the trades needed to install the system. In our experience electric heated driveways average around $40/sq ft whereas Glycol or radiant heating systems average around $55/sq ft. These prices are just a guideline and pricing varies for each project.
How thick should the concrete be poured for a concrete driveway?
Most traditional concrete driveways are poured at 4″ thick. We have read and seen other concrete contractors suggest that there will be an average thickness, that is not how Denver Concrete Inc works. Of course there will be some variance in thickness, but Denver Concrete Inc coverage for traditional concrete driveways are poured at 4″ thick.
However, some driveways need to be poured thicker. For example, those driveways that are going to hold more weight, a thicker driveway with heavier reinforcment would be recommended. For example a driveway holding two hull size pickup trucks would be better off as a 6″ concrete driveway with #4 reinforcement bar.
What does concrete demolition cost?
Many customers believe that if they take on parts of the project themselves it will reduce the cost of the project significantly. Demolition is asked about more often than any other part of the project. For concrete driveway and replacement, Denver Concrete Inc subsidizes the cost of demolition as there is already an entire crew at the site and demolition or concrete removal is one of the quickest moving parts of the project for our team. So, concrete demolition averages $1.00 / sq ft with concrete driveway replacement.

How long is the warranty on concrete driveways?
Denver Concrete Inc offers a 12 month warranty on all concrete driveways. Our warranty protects against major heaving (1/4″ inch or more) and cracking (anything over 1/8″).
